JMG purchase costs drop to £19.6m in 2023/24

JMG Group spent £19.63m on acquisitions in the year ending 31 March 2024, settling the bulk of the bill in cash.

The takeover costs were far down on the £63.2m shelled out on seven brokers the year before.

The latest total was more in line with the £17.26m spent in 2021/22.

The largest bill was for health and safety and employment law consultancy Lighthouse Risk Services. The May 2023 takeover cost £7.37m for an 85% shareholding.

The second largest was 100% of Cheshire-based
