Westinsure network moves east while competitors eye members

Rival networks have begun to circle Westinsure in the wake of a series of upheavals since its takeover by Ink Underwriting.

Insurance Age has learnt the network will move its head office from Swindon to Essex in early 2011 while head of sales, Andy Waring, has left the company. Three employees are also in redundancy negotiations after declining to make the move to Ink Underwriting's headquarters in Rayleigh.

At the time of going to press, a source close to the network indicated that a replacement for Mr Waring had yet to be found with Westinsure still looking at a shortlist of candidates.

The news of the changes has
