Brokers missing out on untapped event market

Brokers around the UK could be taking better advantage of local event cancellation business, according to research commissioned by Beazley.

The specialist insurer researched the event cancellation market using Blackpool, Norwich and Swindon to identify how many, and what type of, events are held in ‘typical’ UK towns.

The results showed that such events can include up to 151 banquets and dinners, 575 sporting events and 2,800 conferences.
