Aviva shakes up senior management

Aviva has made several appointments in its senior management team, as well as restructuring the top level into three groups.

David McMillan has been appointed director group transformation, charged with managing the implementation of the company’s new strategic plan, recently approved by the Aviva board following a group-wide review which saw senior management numbers vastly reduced.

Mr McMillan was previously chief executive, UK and Ireland general insurance, and will report to John McFarlane, the newly appointed group chairman.

Robin Spencer will take on Mr McMillan’s role, and will remain a member of the group
