UK General switches back from QBE to Ageas for capacity
UK General has returned to Ageas as capacity provider for its commercial motor business, ending its stint with QBE, Insurance Age can reveal.
The Leeds-based specialist insurer confirmed it had struck a capacity agreement with QBE in November last year, at the time announcing that existing provider Ageas would instead focus on its schemes business.
However, UK General chief executive Peter Hubbard told Insurance Age that its £20m commercial motor book has now switched back into the hands of Ageas.
