AIG appoints from RSA for Belfast role

Ian Cummings joins AIG from RSA as Northern Ireland business development manager.

AIG has appointed Ian Cummings to the post of Northern Ireland business development manager based in Belfast.

Cummings joins from RSA where he had worked since 1986 in roles across sales, trading and operations management.

He brings 28 years' experience in the Belfast market to the role and will be responsible for relationship management, new business development and renewal retention across AIG's distribution network in Northern Ireland.

Industry reacts to discount rate change

Insurance industry specialists have welcomed the government moving the personal injury discount rate to 0.5% with PwC calculating it will lower motor premiums by £50 on average.
