New group commercial director hoping to drive more business through in-house MGAs and turn broker into “powerhouse”.

Andrew Wallin has decribed his appointment as group commercial director at CGSC as a rare opportunity to work towards real growth.

Speaking exclusively to Insurance Age, Wallin commented: "I am very excited about the role. The chance to work with Steve Hearn and the team was something I could not pass up."

He added: "Given the last year [referring to CGSCs debt and the sale of S&C] this is a rare opportunity to work with Steve and the team on real growth."
