Experts warn that cost of living crisis could increase ghost broking cases
The sky-rocketing cost of living and the longer term economic effects of the pandemic could lead to an increase in ghost broking, experts have warned.
According to Markerstudy head of fraud, Clare Lunn, the cost of living crisis could see families looking to cut household bills wherever they can and offers from ghost brokers to reduce car insurance premiums could become tempting for many.
She added that Markerstudy is continuing to see an increase in ghost broking and warned that they have become more sophisticated.
