Emma Bartlett of CM Murray asks if businesses should be worried about the increase in menopause related employment claims.

In the last five years, the UK employment tribunal system has reported a dramatic increase in claims referring to the menopause as the cause of discriminatory treatment or dismissal. While, statistically, these claims represent a small percentage of the total annual tribunal case load, approximately 0.003%, it is an emerging field for discrimination claims.
