Generali's offices in Belfast, Glasgow, Manchester, York,Northampton, Maidstone, and Bristol have been closed following its
decision in May to pull out of UK regional business.
All personal and commercial lines business previously handled in Belfast
has now been moved to the Birmingham office. Eastgate, which is handling
the portfolio run-off, has made 10 redundancies across the branches.
Figures are yet to be released for job losses in Belfast and
Birmingham.
Last month, Generali sold the renewal
