Unemployment in the eurozone rose to 10% in December according to the latest labour market statistics published by Eurostat this morning.

The figure, up from a revised 9.9 per cent in November, was slightly below consensus expectations of a rise to 10.1 per cent according to the Centre for Economics and Business Research.
