In the last five years, the UK employment tribunal system has reported a dramatic increase in claims referring to the menopause as the cause of discriminatory treatment or dismissal. While, statistically, these claims represent a small percentage of the total annual tribunal case load, approximately 0.003%, it is an emerging field for discrimination claims.
